Plain-English summary of what we collect, what we do with it, and what your rights are. Last updated May 2026.
Terri Tutt LDA collects only the information you voluntarily provide through the contact form or by emailing/calling — typically your name, contact details, and a description of your matter — and uses it only to respond to your inquiry and prepare documents you ask us to prepare. We don't sell, rent, share, or trade your information with anyone, and we don't run third-party advertising or behavioral tracking on this website. If you'd like your information removed from our records, just ask.
This privacy policy applies to territuttlda.com and to the legal document preparation services provided by Terri Tutt, a registered California Legal Document Assistant (Registration #LDA-110, San Joaquin County, expires 3/19/2027) located at 7303 Park Woods Drive, Stockton, CA 95207. When you fill out the contact form on this site or contact us by email, phone, or in person, you provide:
If you engage us to prepare legal documents, we also collect the information necessary to prepare those documents — for example, property addresses, beneficiary names, asset details, and identifying information for parties to the documents. This information is provided by you at your specific direction so we can do the work you've hired us to do.
This website is hosted by Netlify and uses standard web infrastructure. Netlify automatically logs basic information about visits (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance purposes. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, behavioral cookies, or marketing pixels. The site uses Google Fonts to load typography, which involves a routine request to Google's servers — Google has its own privacy practices for those requests.
We use your information solely to:
That's it. We don't use your information for marketing campaigns, behavioral profiling, training machine learning models, or any other purpose without your explicit permission.
The only times your information leaves our hands are when it's necessary to do the work you hired us to do or when required by law:
Importantly: communications between you and an LDA are not protected by attorney-client privilege. We do everything we reasonably can to protect your information, but we are not attorneys and cannot offer the same privilege protections an attorney can.
Your communications with us are stored in our secure email and document management systems. Physical client files are kept in our office in locked storage. Electronic files are kept on password-protected, encrypted devices. The website itself uses HTTPS encryption for all traffic. We take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access — but no system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute confidentiality (no legitimate business can).
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by CPRA). These include:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at territuttlda@gmail.com or (209) 414-7895. We'll respond within 45 days as required by California law.
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Estate planning matters that involve minor children are handled with the legal parent or guardian, never directly with the minor.
If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version here with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
